As I poke my way through odd corners of the 60’s Mets, I googled “1963 Mets” and then thought Duke Snider would be a good topic…which led me to this wonderfully random article which is a great read.
I recently learned about a regional baseball card “set” that is one of the scarcest on earth. Clean Sweep Auctions sold a Duke Snider Nassau County Boy Scouts card issued on Long Island, New York in 1963 for $866.40 in very good condition, about a three on a scale of one to 10.
