This will sound crazy to you kids, but there was a time when getting my hands on the pocket schedule was one of the most exciting days of the Mets year. I’d stare at the orange boxes and imagine the games I might attend, especially the giveaway days.
Note this is a 1984 schedule and there’s no thought of this Gooden kid from A-ball being in the marketing.
