Mark Simon put this on my radar. One of the great Mets curiosities of my youth – the guy who started in RF on Opening Day 1983 (with Seaver on the mound don’t forget, and I was there) and then never appeared again. Number 5 on the field and number one in your hearts…Mike Howard!
