Mets Morning Laziness: watch Terry fumble for words about Tebow, Noah Bobble Teased, Bill Webb remembered

Good morning!  If you’re enjoying the Mets Morning Laziness please hit share on your Facebook page.  If you’re new, this Morning Laziness is your replacement for Adam Rubin’s old Morning Briefing – except I am here to discourage you from clicking links since most things out there are crap.  I can condense things into one sentence and you can be lazy and go about your day.

Here’s an example:

Tebow played.  He struck out twice and grounded into a DP with the bases loaded and it was a joke.  That’s it.  No need to read articles.

The Mets will waste everyone’s time again on Friday when Tebow plays the OF.  Because what the Mets need is a 29 year old non-prospect OFer.

What is worth your time is 6 seconds of this video.   Go to 1:53 and watch Terry struggle to come up with something to say about Tebow.

There’s an article about how Sandy thinks the Mets can be successful for years to come.  Boring.  What’s he going to say, “I think we will rebuild in 2019 when Harvey signs with the Yankees.”  No.  Blah blah young pitching blah blah minor leaguers blah blah young players.  Boring.  Why waste time on that?

You will see headlines where Noah said he wanted to be like Colon.  Ignore those.

I didn’t get loose yesterday to do anything about Bill Webb.  My short take is that the Bill Webb/Tim McCarver telecasts revolutionized the game.  We went from basic coverage to good analysis.

SNY did a tribute…

…and the guys at Faith & Fear are better at words than I am, so just read what Greg wrote.

Big Syndergaard news coming!

The WBC is stupid.  I am told that the point is to grow the game internationally.    Take a look at the start times on this promo from the ABL (Australian Baseball League).   9pm Australian East Coast – you know where a lot of the population is.  Hey kids, first pitch of the sport you don’t care about is 9pm!  How does this grow the game?  Explain this to me.

The wife made a valid comment about my weight.  I can’t sit here doing links for you.  I’m going for a morning run.

Jason and I should have a new podcast up for you by late afternoon.  If you missed the Greg Prince on Piazza episode, take a listen.
