Mets Morning Laziness: Thor, Thor and Mets can’t score

Slackish Reaction:  Mets Police has learned the Mets lost last night 3-1 to the Braves.  The game was mostly boring.  I went to bed at 10:15.  Other blogs do game recaps for some reason.   Matt Harvey (29-28) takes the mound tonight.

I actually had to mute one of the beat reporters last night because he insisted on doing play by play for the followers of a Mets beat reporter who couldn’t figure out how to watch or listen and only get Mets play by play via tweets.

Speaking if last night, my power was out – boo.  But I have a generator – yay! But that didn’t make Fios in the neighborhood work – boo.

So I watched the game on my phone using the NBC Sports App.  Nice experience, and I can confirm it is available on Fios.  Here’s the desktop proof (I tried that too, but the phone was ahead)

Speaking of beat reporters – Rubin was kind of hinting that he’d consider doing a Morning Briefing via subscription.  That would be awesome and I will be first in line to pay.  However, you guys are cheap.  As of 7:41pm last night my poll results were…

Cheapos.

In other news….

Today, Noah Syndergaard will announce his becoming a Topps Now intern.  That’s a real item.

Salaciousness – The newspaper says Noah was at the Knicks game with a College Student.    Mr. Syndergaard is 24 so chillax, however I did scout out the date’s Instagram and I wonder if she gets what’s about to happen.

One newspaper is saying the Mets could use Colon.  Now where have I heard that before?  But you all bought into The Narrative that he’s expensive or something.

Also, I noticed last night you liked Jay Bruce.  Mets Insiders tell me

JAY BRUCE: Connected on his first home run of the year in the fifth inning, a solo-shot off Bartolo Colón…Is now 2-7 lifetime versus Colón with both of his hits being home runs…Finished the game 3-5 with a double and his solo homer…Bruce has reached base safely six times in his first two games of the season. The Mets signed whoever Desmond Jennings is!

Another newspaper is laying groundwork for the 2019 rebuild.

Keith the Rumble Pony got a name, but I am still calling him Keith.

Now as you guys are catching on, the Morning Laziness is not the Morning Briefing (nor is the one the guys at Amazing Insider Applerized who ripped off Adam’s title which is just so lame guys) – the Laziness is to tell you what not to waste time at.  At one of the other Amazing Insider Apple Blogs, someone actually bothered to write a Mets Continue Opening Day Dominance article.  What does that add?  Who cares.  Content for Content Sake – which I will call CFCS heading forward so keep up.

Tim Tebow went to the movies!

How cool is this GKR calendar?  (via @SNYTV)

and if you’re still wishing people a HHD…..time to live in the present.
