Here are my suggestions:

  1. Enforce the pitch clock thats on the books
  2. Create the “get your ass in the batter’s box clock”
  3. Run in from the bullpen clock
  4. No warm up pitches
  5. No mound visits.  Or you get three time outs per game or something.  Get yourself a captain to tell the pitcher what the hell to do.
  6. The Keith Hernandez Rule: if the game has gone three hours, is boring, and well know what the result would be, the game is over.
  7. Ties after 10 innings (see earlier post)
  8. Pitchers have to face two batters.  Pitch better.

the length of a nine-inning game actually has jumped to 3 hours, 5 minutes,
