SLACKISH REACTION: rough weekend for the Mets, and clearly the bullpen is this team’s weakness. Although it was nice to see them come back, I had the feeling they would lose in extras anyway. Don’t worry Mets fans, the Phillies are coming to town and all will be well by Friday. Oh and I supposed to mention they were no-hit into the 8th.
The Mets have a tickets promotion, 65% off some tickets. Check it out.
I have decided to break up with WOR.
The Dark Knight pitched well again and looked pretty snazzy after the game. I do like this 2017 quiet version of Matt a lot better than the Dark Knight Hype version. He’s quietly going about his business and pitching well.

People are starting with the no-run support crap again. Just win games. Those two runs didn’t give themselves up.
This tweet is being passed around (the originator corrected it to be 85 starts fyi) – and I think this is proving the opposite of the point it set out too. Look up Gooden’s first three years, he found a way to win. That’s why all this Next Seaver nonsense drives me nuts. Doc found a way. Find a way.

The Braves have some new pitcher named Colon who seems like he might be good.
Brisk sales today for Bartolo’s debut at home in Atlanta. Gives up 1 hit in 7 innings. Win #234, 3 wins away from passing Whitey Ford. pic.twitter.com/kxB2oRrRgK
