Slackish Reaction: my volleyball team won all three games in the season opener. We looked OK but a little rusty…..oh the Mets….well I watched me some Mets at the bar after the game. There was a guy who looked like Jeff Wilpon there. Then I got home and was very sleepy and woke up on the couch to see the score was 16-5 or whatever so I turned the TV off. Yay Mets LGM.
Syndergaard is getting a second opinion. Let me ask you this: if the first opinion was “you will be fine next week” would he fly to LA for a second? When you doctor says you have 50 more years to live do you fly to LA to find a guy to tell you you have six months?
Not that anyone in the media overreacts but here is an actual headline to which I will not link: “Mets answer critics with resounding win over Braves.” That’s a real headline. Yep, 16-5 over the Braves, everything is fine.
