Mets Police Morning Laziness: the Mets will play by different rules tonight

SLACKISH REACTION:  Terry managed to use 5 relief pitchers on an off-day.  Crazy, right?  Also crazy is that the Mets will use different rules tonight.  In tonight’s game, the pitcher does not have to bat, although he can, and the Mets will use a substitute batter in the pitcher’s spot in the lineup (which does not have to be 9th).  I think it’s kind of insane that MLB would change the rules like this – and it was unfair that over the weekend the Nationals got to use these rules, but the Mets didn’t – so I don’t know who runs things over at baseball, but this is crazy.

The opposing pitcher tonight is Dillon Gee who I always liked.  Having watched the Mets for a long time, I imagine he will shut them out for 7 innings.

538 calls the Mets rotation “Garbage” and has stats and everything.  Woohoo.

The newspaper thinks the Mets should ignore Super 2 on Rosario.  On June 6th the newspaper is SO SO SO SO WRONG.  Not linking to that crap.

Another newspaper writes about the 2019 2018 rebuild.
