SLACKISH REACTION: Well I gave up on that one before 9:30 (writing this at 9:12 with plans to stop watching). Wheeler got rocked. Smoker got sacrificed. Game was unwatchable. I apparently correctly predicted the 14-3 final. The Mets are 9.5 out, which shows you that you can have a nice weekend but one loss and you’re back out of it. The deficit is too big and the season continues to be over.
At least the Mets have this snazzy new ice cream product.
Tonight The Dark Knight Returns Still Even Yet Again. Do you think The Beat will ask him about Adam West? No, they do nothing. Do you think SNY could employ a 4th guy that does fluff pieces in the middle of innings who could ask TDK about Adam West? He won’t. Seems like an easy thing to do, plus Matt being totally ignorant about Adam West will make for awkward soundbites as he tries to say the right thing A-Rod Style.
