Mets Police Morning Laziness: June 15th – Original Seaver traded, Next Seaver being checked by Doctors

SLACKISH REACTION: What the hell happened yesterday?  I had a soccer game and a volleyball game and I get home and TDK was already out of the game and Walker is dead or something and everything felt like the Mets lost but they won.   Curtis homered even though you idiots on #MetsTwitter DFAd him a month ago because you somehow don’t know he starts slow EVERY YEAR and then has 30 HRs.  Watch the games people.   The Mets are “only” 8.5 out of first!

40 years ago today the Mets traded Tom Seaver.   There will be lots of anniversary coverage.   Here’s my personal story.

Uh oh, The Next Seaver is having his arm checked today.  Holy arm fatigue Batman!  “My arm was not working at all” is a pretty scary thing for Batman to say!

Smoker is on the DL with a shoulder strain.  I wonder how that happened?  Could it be because the manager let him throw a million pitches the night before?  Could the manager have done that because this team refused to have a long man?

On the long man thing – now you have Montero.  Here’s how Montero should be used.  He should ONLY and ALWAYS be used in blowouts.  Once a game is over you put him in and leave him in no matter what happens.  If someone is to strain his shoulder is should be Montero.  Down 10? Let Montero pitch 7 innings in relief.  This is such a simple concept and hopefully the GM and manger read Mets Police.
