SLACKISH REACTION: The Mets won 6-3 in a game I watched and couldn’t have told you the score without looking it up and I seem to have no memory of what happened. Mets-Marlins games will do that to a person.

The Braves DFAd Bartolo Colon. The Mets should bring him back. The Braves pay for it. The Mets need a long man. Now those of you who grew up on TerryBall don’t know what this is. When a team is losing 8-1 you hand the ball to your long man and tell him to finish it. Maybe your long man is 43 and fat and toast and you wind up losing 47-1. Who cares? Save the bullpen for the next game. All you need is someone with a rubber arm to take the beating. His name is Colon.
