Mets Police Morning Laziness: you live long enough Montero becomes the Ace

Sometimes you just have to live long enough.

SLACKISH REACTION:   I was very much enjoying the game last night before I had to go to volleyball (we had a Mets-like summer) but seems I caught the good part with all the runs.  Montero proved he is the team’s true ace.  Wayne calls a nice game on TV.

The Dark Knight thinks he will be good next season.

The Mets-Astros series will be in Houston after all.  I find that stunning, but I am not on the ground and I neither understand the logistics nor the local importance of having the team play.  The Friday night game is moved to Saturday as part of a doubleheader.

I could see Game 1 being the opposite of a Piazza game but I think I will blog that separately in the next post.

Can anyone explain why Rosario didn’t start last night?  He is 21 and the center-piece of the team heading forward.  Let’s say he needed a rest.  OK well play him last night and give him the day game into the Off Day off.  That’s what every other manager would do.  I guess Reyes just wanted to play SS, he does run the team after all.
