ICYMI because you were smart and enjoyed a sunny day, David Wright is having rotator cuff surgery today. No really. And TJ Rivera is having TJ surgery, but this time tJ stands for Tommy John. AND AND AND get this – the Mets are starting Matt Harvey on short rest because Matt asked.
I know you think that’s all bullshit and no way any of that is true, but this is Mets and of course it all is.
Let’s stop and dwell on this Harvey thing for a second.
He’s coming off injuries.
He was worse than awful.
The Mets have an off-day coming up so after short rest he will have an extra day. Why not just let him throw every 5th.
The last time Matt asked to pitch we got eliminated from the World Series.
