Next week’s Yankees at Rays series would be played at Citi Field. The Rays will be the home team. I guess MLB didn’t want the Yankees to have home field advantage, so this gives the Rays fans a great chance to come out and see their local club, the Rays. Or maybe there’s a concert or something, I didn’t check.
Anyway, comes see the Rays! I bet the Wilpons wish they hadn’t put all that Mets crap up all over the place – had this happened in 2009 it would have actually looked like Rays Park.
Anyway, you wanted Meaningful Games in September at Citi Field, you got ’em.
