SLACKISH REACTION: Another tough loss for The Dark Knight as the offense failed to get him the 18 runs he would have needed to win, and The Next Seaver’s Career record fell to 34-33 but wins are stupid whether you win 34 or 311.
Not sure I’ve ever seen Matt Harvey this dejected in all the years I’ve covered him. No sugarcoating tonight’s loss: pic.twitter.com/mfgpHj3oMo

This was Matt Harvey’s 98th career start. In 98 career Mets starts the legendary Ed Lynch won 38 games but he had much better offense behind him on those early 80’s Mets teams.
Anyway Batman wasn’t around long and got tagged for 5 runs or something. I dunno, I was playing volleyball and sucked last night so TDK can make fun of me on Volleyblog. Oh and I think Jose Reyes homered to help the Mets lose 17-5.
Regardless, savor these last few Harvey Days before he gets non-tendered.
Jay Bruce said, “I pretty much went from the least fun situation in baseball to the most fun.” Which is great because when he was here at least the Mets had real players. Now subtract yourself from the least fun Jay and try to watch this crap.
The Mets are sticking with Barwis!
The Rays have left the building.
We can’t thank the @Mets enough for taking us in and making us feel at home this week.
Thank you for everything. pic.twitter.com/kUDhJ25efx
