Mets Police Morning Laziness: thank you Terry Collins!

Thank you Terry Collins for being a good steward of the franchise when the franchise needed you most.  You never embarrassed yourself or the team during your tenure and there are plenty of Mets managers, players and even owners who are not able to say the same.

Now I did have my issues with Terry whether it was not realizing what he had at second base, or cooling players when they were hot, or most recently destroying the sport of baseball by using 7 relievers per game – but Terry did get the team to the playoffs twice and get the ship steady during the Madoff years.

So farewell Terry.  I’m sorry the organization didn’t choose to let you go in peace, and I hope you find a gig in 2018 that makes you happy.

SLACKISH REACTION:  a fine fall Saturday for me with soccer in the morning, then some video games (Nascar Heat) followed by Sully (pretty god), Snowden (great start, soft finish) and the Wizard Of Lies (HBO Deniro about Madoff, see how it all comes together) which was strong and ends sad.   I saw the Mets were tied 4-4, didn’t care, and went back to watching Vietnam.
