A question for you all, and please answer on Mets Police Facebook.
Where are we on Carlos Beltran?
He’s retired. He’s the All Time Mets Team Center Fielder. There is talk of him maybe wearing a Mets cap into the Hall of Fame.
And yet he’s not a slam dunk “Met” to the point that I am even asking this question.
So I saw this…
2013 Roberto Clemente Award winner and 2017 World Series champion @carlosbeltran15 will be presented with the inaugural Hope Award by @SInow for his hurricane relief efforts in his native Puerto Rico. https://t.co/2uUWxmKkdT pic.twitter.com/zMRHxYQc0R

….and it got me wondering. Do I post it?
Now it’s a great thing and I applaud Carlos for his work. But do I post it?
Let me run some scenarios past you….
(Tom Seaver) will be presented with the inaugural Hope Award by @SInow for his hurricane relief efforts in his native Puerto Rico.
Yes. Of course that goes up. The Franchise.
- Dwight Goden will be presented with.…yeah that gets posted
- Edgardo Alfonzo will be presented with….yeah that gets posted.
- Carlos Delgado will be presented with….yeah that gets posted.
OK how about this
- Ron Darling was interviewed by the Yankees……yeah that goes up.
- John Stearns was interviewed by the Yankees….yeah that goes up.
- John Olerud was interviewed by the Yankees…yeah that probably goes up.
But I didn’t post Beltran Yankees, and I don’t think Mets Pravda did, and I don’t read Amazin Apple Insiderized Mets BLOG report so I don’t know what they did.
Why not? Is Carlos Beltran a Met or not?
And heading forward should I report on the Adventures of Carlos Beltran the way I would report on The Adventures of Darryl Strawberry?
Hit me up on the Facebook page, I’d love to know your thoughts here.
Why do I feel like it might be best for everyone if Carlos unretires and plays one more season in Queens. That would likely clear this whole thing up honestly.
