Oh, and back to the initial post from 10 Years Ago that started all this…it’s stupid not to have names on the back on the one day everyone wears 42. Personally I would love to never have names on the back ever, but if you’re gonna have them it probably makes sense when everyone has the same # on.
Also, while the 42 thing is cool, I stand by my opinion that it would be more powerful if each year one (or say three) players wear 42 rather than everyone. In my version, the one (or three) would be an Ambassador who would represent Jackie on this day and could field the interviews about how Jackie was important to him. As it stands now with everyone wearing it, it’s starting to become Another Thing We Do like Father’s Day caps.
