Mets’ d’Arnaud to DL, Tommy John surgery next?

This stinks.  Sorry to hear this.  Sounds like it could be Tommy John.

TRAVIS d’ARNAUD PLACED ON 10-DAY DL, TOMÁS NIDO RECALLED FROM BINGHAMTON

FLUSHING, N.Y., April 11, 2018 – The New York Mets today announced that they have placed catcher Travis d’Arnaud on the 10-Day Disabled List and recalled catcher Tomás Nido from Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League. Nido will wear #3 and is active for tonight’s game in Miami.

 

D’Arnaud underwent an MRI and clinical exam today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Treatment of this injury, including possible surgery, will be determined in the next several days.
