SLACKISH REACTION: The Mets are 15-8 which is .652 ball which is a pace to win 105 games. Sure they are 4-7 or whatever, but that’s the whole point of the hot start.
I’m confused as to why people were mad at Mickey Hodges yesterday. Was it leaving Thor into the 8th? Was it using his good reliever to try to get to the closer? Was it using the closer to get a save? OR was it playing Juan Lagares on defense? Maybe having Rosario in the lineup instead of The Virus! Seems people were really down on The Mick.
Which brings me to this near daily point – the wins aren’t his doing either. Mickey has nothing to do with the Cardinals feeding Cespedes a flat pitch. The media gives this guy soooooo much credit when they win. Where was the new culture yesterday? Hey man, it’s baseball, sometimes you lose.
HOWEVER – and I know this is hard because it’s like three narratives ago – wasn’t this guy God’s Gift To Pitching? I know he was a genius when TDK gave us five good innings the first week, but now what’s up? And isn’t the new narrative is that Mick is some self help guru that focuses on the individual? Well he’s failing twice, LOUDLY, with The Dark Knight. And the closer has been shaky. Or fix Matz bro. So maybe a little less marketing and a little more results. The 11-1 is hiding some sins, the natives are noticing…but then again the team is on a 105 win pace, so let us remain calm.
As for the new culture I keep reading about? What is it exactly? It seems to be Todd Frazier selling t-shirts. Maybe we should just have TTSG play third?

ASSHOLES: I was up early this morning and hit the Donuts Chain around 5:30. As I went in, there was an asshole in the handicapped spot with her car running. When I left, a different asshole in the handicapped spot with his car running. Many of you see my daily tweet about this most mornings around 7:30am.
Now I know I can be a real douche on here and on twitter, but I do have a Klingon’s sense of honor. Don’t park in the handicapped spot. I want to think you think you’re just running in for a second and its likely nobody is coming and whatever else you think. What I believe is you are just a self entitled asshole who does this everywhere because you deserve VIP parking. Why do I think this?
Because you leave your car running.
I’m also a big climate change guy (don’t start me). Why the fuck do you leave your car running? I almost get it when it’s 5 below, but it’s a nice morning and it was in the 40s. If you’re only running in to quickly get coffee I’m sure your car won’t turn into to Winterfell by the time you get out.
You’re just selfish assholes and I hate you.
