Today the Mets will play TWO awful baseball games starting at 4pm. Not sure the Mets are getting 8 hours out of me.
JDG is the Mets All star. That was so predictable that I couldn’t even be bothered to do a split out post about it last night. I imagine Scherzer will get the start at home. That was the argument we all made for Matt Harvey at Citi Field (five years ago!!!) so you can’t even get upset.
I of course told you Jake would be the lone All Star, not that that was any sort of amazing production, but some people are still trying to convince themselves Nimmo is an All Star. He’s not. These people quote something called OPS which is a stat millennials use because they grew up playing The Bigs and can only enjoy the sport if they see a number over .700
Thor pitched 5 innings at Brooklyn so at least the Mets should be getting him back soon.
The Mets will somehow sell tickets with NO FEES. Amazingly generous of them to eat that cost for us.
I sense a major Ghost Town coming to Citi Field. It’s July 9th and I find myself annoyed the Mets even exist. You want us to watch TWO games today? Ugh. There’s nothing to even tune in for, especially if the manager is only going to play the 22 year old phenom twice a week. What’s the point even?
