Well I guess the Mets PR Intern is NOT gonna send me the press releases, so I will have to Self Serve that the Mets signed 31 year old Austin Jackson for some reason. I think Jackson is Japanese for Aoki. I don’t understand how this one helps a rebuild.
They also traded Cabrera to the Phillies for a AA pitcher you’ve never heard of although I saw all kinds of yahoos on twitter evaluating this trade as if they have any idea at all about the Phillies’ minor league system.
SLACKISH REACTION: I had the game on but was mostly surfing Reddit. It did sail pass three hours which was disappointing. There are nights where I wonder why I even watch, that was one of them.
I was disappointed that the Pirates won, not that I care about the loss, but the Mets were down to one bench player and Mickey was burning through his bullpen. I wanted to see how he would cope in extras.
