Fixing Major League Baseball: The Play Everybody Schedule

I was thinking how I didn’t care that I was missing Mets vs. Braves while I travel.  I feel like the Mets play the Braves every two weeks.  Thus I have come up with the PLAY EVERYBODY SCHEDULE.

Ready?

You play the other four teams in your division twice.  Three home and Three Away.  That’s 6 x 4 = 24

You play five games against everyone else.  Five is an ugly number but hey I am not the one who put a team in Miami.   We’ll do 3 and 2 alternating years.  5 games x 5 divisions x 5 teams in each division = 125.

There you go.  Done.  149 games.  Plenty of time for travel and we can give everyone Monday off like it’s 1926.

Now some of you won’t like this and want to see your Rivals some more.  OK fine.

RIVALRY WEEK out of the All Star Break.   You can have three against your Rival – and if you field a team in Colorado, sorry man, sucks to be you, you can play Arizona.   Now we’re at 152 games.

That even gives me four more games to get to the old legacy 156.  I will let you guys talk in the comments section of Facebook.com/metspolice
