So, as we know, modern baseball is boring, and the millennials like big numbers (hence the nonsense that is OPS), I propose we introduce Points.
It will give my brain something to do as I see if the Mets can get their High Score during a game. It will give us another way to evaluate play – oh the Mets sucked last night, they only scored 10,500.
What would we do with these points? That’s where I am stuck. Maybe there could be some sort of Sponsorname Points Cup. Maybe the team with the most points wins something. Kinda like Soccer Cup Play but different.
