SLACKISH REACTION: I just don’t care right now. This has nothing to do with winning or losing, but has to do with product. I’m so mad at this David Wright thing that I actually do think about it all day. I had a dream I was on a plane with DW and he was upset that the plane wasn’t going to stop where he wanted. Gee, I wonder what that was about.
So last night I watched like 3 innings, the Mets were up 6-0 and I realized I don’t care. Todd Frazier, aside from being soft, can hit 5 HRs. I don’t care. I don’t want to see Todd Frazier I want to see DW. Frazier is fine if David can’t play but David is around.
Yesterday they did the simulated game and David homered. Now they can’t possibly do another simulated game until Tuesday. Tuesday? The infield in the sim game was Callaway and three pitchers. How hard is that to organize? You want me and three guys to come by around 11am?
So it was 6-0 and I decided to simulate my interest in the rest of the game. Today I have a soccer tournament and the NFL is back so I will simulate caring today too.
I’m also beyond amazed that 1/3 of the fanbase doesn’t seem to care about Wright at all. Have I lived so long? Who are these people even attached to?
The Dark Knight returned. His first inning was 9 strikes out of 10 and he looked electric. 10Ks overall – here’s the recap.
