Mets Police Morning Laziness: Virus Rat

Did you hear Gare going on about McNeil? Basically he said that it’s OK if the second baseman isn’t the best fielder because he works hard at it and he can hit. WHAT?????

I think something about Murph’s comments about Billy Bean really bothered Gare, it’s the only explanation for all the net negative stuff. I imagine some day we’ll get to the bottom of it, but how he likes McNeil and didn’t like Murph makes no sense.

SLACKISH REACTION:  Baseball is boring.  I hung out into the 6th and it was 2-0 when I got bored.  Seems they lost 5-2.  Whatever.

Please stop reading this article about what the Wilpons are up to on 126th street.  I don’t want Mets Fans to be educated when they can just focus on the CYA and Wilpons Rage.  Better to just discover this 18 months from now and be mad then.

I WAS WRONG SECTION:   You may want to print out this morning’s laziness and it has the very rare I Was Wrong.  Seems that MLB polled the writers and the poll has JDG running away with the Cy Young.  I am surprised that they aren’t distracted by Scherzer’s numbers but I am happy to be wrong.  Hey even Jose Reyes gets a hit sometimes.

NOT LINKING:  Mets Blog is having a really weird year and a reallllllly strange month.  Now I am may be conflating what’s on Mets Blog proper and what’s just the SNY.TV twitter but on MB Proper there was an article about how Conforto is not the problem.   Ummmmm OK.   Also DeForest Kelley was not the problem with Star Trek and Michael Anthony is not the problem with Van Halen.  Why are you even writing that article?  Did someone think Conforto is the problem?

I don’t think Conforto is a problem,.  Maybe you do.  I sure don’t.  Why would you say that?

Also on MB and or SNY.TV they recirculated a TRAID from 12 days ago to see if we still like it.  Apparently the Mets COULD trade Syndergaard for whatever they made up.  Just call WFAN’s midday show guys.

And….hey did a poll asking if we’d rather the Mets go 11-1 to finish .500 or go 1-11 to get a draft pick.  What?  As if the Mets can just “go” 11-1 when they want and just choose not to.  That’s some AAIMBR level stuff.  Speaking of the AAIMBR they led with “Mets close out the series” today.  That’s a can’t miss site I tell ya.

Anyway, it has been super boring lately but I have good news for you….
