Mets Police Morning Laziness: 50 blogs to tell you the Mets GM search is down to three

SLACKISH REACTION:   This is the longest stretch of nothing-ness  I can remember.  I guess last year we had Terry’s exit to kill some time, and some playoffs in 15 and 16….so maybe October 2014 was rough?  This is brutal.   I’m going to lose my mind if I see one more GM Speculation Article.  Every blog and it’s mother has “Mets search down to three” this morning.   Just no originality out there at all.  What’s interesting is all the blogs who led yesterday with “The World Series is Tuesday!” didn’t mention the World Series today because they needed to also do the GM thing.  (I need a new phrase – not being a jerk nor insensitive, but I used to refer to that as me-too content, a term that has now evolved.)

Don’t think I am mailing it in – I’m scraping all my usual deep-throw sources…checking instagrams and twitters….even Thor has been quiet.   Thank goodness the Binghamton Mets filled a day, it’s been a terrible stretch for Mets News.

Once again, this is when we need Rubin back.  He’d find something.

How slow is it?   Lyin’ Todd Frazier is tweeting traffic updates!

In an interesting episode of Sterling or Scully, Vin Scully of all people earns aa Sterling!

NOT LINKING:  The guys at Van Hagar have something about a Jay Bruce golf tournament but it’s in Texas and Sammy didn’t format the post well and it was hard to read.

World Series fun facts:  Game 2 of the 1916 World Series between the Red Sox and the Dodgers Robins was played at 2pm.  Winning pitcher Babe Ruth went 14 innings.  The losing pitcher Sherry Smith went 13.1 in a complete game.  The time of game was 2:32.   TWO THIRTY TWO!!!!    Also there were no travel days in that series.  Everyone got their ass on a train and hustled to Brooklyn for Game 3.   Also baseball on the radio didn’t start until 1921, how will they ever grow the game like this?
