The Mets are expected to name Michael “Wags” Wagner as their new GM. Despite having zero baseball experience, Wags is a master negotiator, and this makes more sense than hiring a former baseball agent whose biggest task is going to be re-signing a guy he used to represent (JDG) who I am sure still wants the biggest possible deal. As I have to Actually Work (TM) today, expect all kinds of Mets news. Grrrrrr.
We shall need a nickname for the new GM Mr. Van Wagenen.
