Hey Commissioner Manfred,
Take a look at what the boys over the NFL solved…
JUST IN: Chiefs & Rams will wear first responder hats on sidelines at tonight’s game in Los Angeles. Hats will be auctioned off with funds benefiting families of those affected by wildfires & the American Red Cross Wildfire Relief. pic.twitter.com/jjfSFNg1ct

It can be done! Imagine what could be done if I give you almost 10 months notice that September 11th will be held on September 11th next year.
How about we let the Mets wear the caps IN GAME like everyone wants.
Oh and commish, perhaps you’ve heard of this cap brand New Era? (via The Rams). The bold about New Era is mine
HATS HONORING FIRST RESPONDERS: Players and coaches from both the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs will wear hats honoring a variety of Los Angeles area fire and law enforcement agencies.
-
Agencies represented: California Highway Patrol, LAFD, LAPD, LA County Fire Department, Ventura County Fire Department and Ventura County Sheriff.
-
New Era produced hats for each team. The agency’s logo is on the front of the cap and the team’s logo is on the side.
-
The game-worn hats will be auctioned off on NFLAuction.com postgame with 100% of the proceeds going to the Conejo Valley Victims Fund and American Red Cross Southern California Wildfire Relief. Game-worn jerseys also will be auctioned off on NFL Auction with proceeds going to the relief efforts.
What possibly could be the reason to not work this out in ten months. Let me know if you need me to call New Era for you, apparently they aren’t the problem, and I doubt it’s the first responders in the New York area.
The Mets host the Diamondbacks on Wednesday September 11th. Wear The Caps. In Game.
Much thanks to @koyote19 for flagging this for me!!!
