Syracuse, N.Y. — The New York Mets won’t take the field at NBT Bank Stadium for an exhibition game at the end of their spring training schedule. But it looks like there’s a good chance they could have a workout in Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome later this month. A source close to the Syracuse Mets confirmed Saturday afternoon that the team and Syracuse University are working to put on an event soon. The source did not offer further details.
