SLACKISH REACTION: I enjoy the National Baseball Mafia playing along and acting like anyone cares about a Mariners-A’s game. This one happens to be in Japan. It’s Opening Day everyone wooooo. I don’t know how people in Los Angeles are expected to watch this 2:35am start. Games in Tokyo should be played at 5:37pm Pacific Time like all other big games.
My son ordered “cheese pizza please” in front of me. I am horrified. I explained to him the nomenclature of “slice” or “two.” He should know this. Very very embarrassing.
That same son does not want to go to Opening Day. He is still broken from David Wright Day. I am thinking of selling my tickets. Opening Day is more cool when it’s the Opener Opener, but the Mets open on the road this year. I just looked on Stubhub and tickets are way cheaper than past seasons – I’d probably even be selling at a loss. Where did everyone go? Are they on a stand up comedy tour until the Mets are in first place in which case they will act like the biggest Mets fans ever?
The big news is the Mets adding in a monthly SRO ticket pass! Some people are upset because they had already paid more for a seat. I think you should all buy a nice TV.
