Long time readers know I like my New York Mets to have Mets on them and not a bunch of Dodgers, Red Sox or Braves. So to that extent, I am getting excited for the 2019 Team. I imagine that the Opening Day lineup will feature 7 homegrown Mets!
IF: Met, “Yankee”, Met, Met.
OF: Met, Met, Met (assuming Lagares starts)
C: I dunno what but he’s not a Met. He’s welcome, and a good addition but he’s not a Met.
SP: Met
That’s pretty awesome.
Also let me point out again that these are Sandy Alderson’s Mets playing, joined by two of Wags’ guys. So when the Mets start the season 35-5 let’s not give the man in the fancy suits all that much credit just yet.
