Mets Police Morning Laziness: it is Opening Day

SLACKISH REACTION:  It is Opening Day!  Road Opening Day is far less fun than when the season starts at home, and even that Day 8 Home Opener feels anticlimactic.   Normally I write a big flourishing (for me) essay on OD (I’m n Greg Prince but I write something) but I’m not feeling this one at all.  It just kind of snuck up on me, and I am choosing to work so probably will barely see the game.   It’s not you Mets, it’s me.

My kid DOES NOT WANT TO GO next week.  He is so broken by the experience of bad baseball that was the David Wright Game.  I don’t blame him.

Anyway, Rah Rah Queens Baseball Team (RRQBT, a trademark not filed for by the Wilpons) and such but sadly….

Trying some new stuff here at MPHQ, a free inbox version and a new chat app.

Matt Harvey TDKOALA says he is a changed man.  So far I haven’t found any birthday celebration pics on the internet.

Most importantly I’ve killed off another off-season.  This is the easy part of the year as the Mets create all sorts of storylines good and bad, along with hopefully some good Gary Cohen HR calls (I am watching you Gare).  So on to Season 12 of blogging….
