The Dark Knight returned to Kansas City, where Royals fas have good memories of Matty Baseball. Let’s take a look at his numbers….
Oh the silly Royals announcers are buying into the lie that Matt was good the other night against the Yankees. You guys are smart and follow the recaps, you know the deal.
The Royals TV guys know about Matt’d bad innings…
But things are off to a good start for Matt as the Angels spot him a 3 run lead. Surely he will win today and….sit down son!
So there are two out and….
uh oh…..
It’s a double! But don’t worry TDKOALA remains calm…
well not the best photo…but he remains calm and we’re out of the first with a 3-0 lead!
The second inning was a cruise…three soft contact infield outs and it’s clear that MATT HARVEY IS BACK!
So on to the third and now Matt has a 4-0 lead. The Royals might as well go home. Oh wait they are home.
In the third…a one out walk. When I describe Matt to people I always explain he’s fine until he’s not Let’s keep an eye on him, and you may wanna get the bullpen ready….
Matt got the next guy to groundout, boy a lot of soft contact today and Matt is looking good….and the third out if a fly ball to CF. One hit through three. Right now Matt would be the Mets’ best starter!
On to the 4th! Matt gets the strikeout to lead off the inning. Sit dow…..hold on the ball got away!
Matt is mentally tough. He won’t let the leadoff hitter distract him.
Well except for the walk. Two on, none out. Matt is good until he’s not. Should we get the bullpen up?
Two fly outs later…. its 4-1 Angels. A run on no hits.
It’s been a long inning…..
but SIT DOWN SON! The Dark Knight is back! This is normally the inning where things collapse, but not today. I think MH is heading for his 42nd career win!
The 5th? Some easy grounders not even worth telling you about.

The 6th was uneventful. A walk which normally I’d freak out about, but not today. The third out was this nice play by someone named Mike Trout. I don’t know much about him but I have noticed he plays nice defense.
Here’s something you don’t see very 5th day…it’s Matt Harvey in the 7th inning!
And you know what you can do…

The Royals did get a harmless soft single but Koala got out of the inning with another soft ground out.

Two hits FSW. And it’s still the 7th. Anyway, Two hits. 95 pitches, 2 hits, 3 walks 1 run….time to get The Real Deal out of there and let the bullpen get Matty Baseball his first American League win. It’s too bad it’s getaway day or there would definitely be some barbecue joint waitresses to be hit on tonight.
But the Angels won, and it was off to Toronto and an off day tomorrow. How is the Canadian supermodel scene? I think I know who is about to find out.
Nice job Matt. I love to rip you but there’s nothing bad to say about this start.
