I don’t see a problem with baseball attendance.  Why would you say that?  Who doesn’t like four hour games?  Don’t you like baseball?  Why wouldn’t you want the game to be longer?  I sure do.

Why wouldn’t post-season games start late where the majority of the population lives?  Don’t you want people in California to see the games?  I do.  How would someone in California follow a game that started at 4pm?  Am I supposed to worry about some nine year old kid who lives in Maine? Answer me that.

Is it me?  It’s him, right?   Baseball is fine.  I surely think so.

Perhaps more alarmingly, 15 teams saw a decrease in their worst March-April gate, which can serve as a relatively informed snapshot of a club’s season-ticket base. Twelve teams’ worst gate was 11,000 or less, with four teams – Pittsburgh (8,523), Cincinnati (7,799), Baltimore (6,585) and Miami (5,934) sporting a base of less than 10,000.
