I got a note from the Mets Blogging Council that I was the only blog not covering this so I figured I better get on board.
Snark aside, the Animal League (did they rebrand? I know them as the North Shore Animal League) is fantastic and I myself have adopted 3 dogs from there over the last 40 years (Including the now famous dearly departed Shannon the dog aka The Shark.)
Always adopt. Don’t support the breeder culture. There’s some poor dog sitting in a cage waiting somewhere for you to give it a home. Nice job Jeff.
