Mets Police Morning Laziness: Congrats Pete Alonso, farewell Gary Apple play by play

SLACKISH REACTION:  congrats to Thunder Pete Alonso (that’s what Gary Cohen and I call him) on smashing the NL Rookie HR Record on August 18th which is a statistical anomaly on the scale of the Climate Crisis, but much like the Climate Crisis continue to ignore it and think that Al Gore is crazy.  It’s totally normal that he’s going to break a record by 15-20 Home Runs.  And no I am not at all suggesting he is on PEDs, I am saying the baseballs are wrong.

The Mets are two games in back of the Wild Card.  Meaningful games in the August twenty-somethings..a nice gift.

T-Shirt Enthusiasts from Cleveland got a nice present, the Cleveland Baseball Team played at New York (AL), have an off-day today and then visit Queens tomorrow.  That’s a nice road trip for those folks.

I shall miss Gary Apple and all the wonderful page views he brought to my website.  Here’s what the Sunday Afternoon crowd thought of his work.  I seriously cannot get over the among of traffic Gary Apple has brought to the site.  Yesterday was 5x a normal day and I barely posted anything.

IIRC the Mets said they would announce ticket plans today which makes sense because I have to Actually Work (TM).  On the other hand it’s some great Off Day Filler.
