Nice call by Gary Cohen filling in for Gary Apple. Not sure when Apple is back but Cohen is doing a good job.
The Mets have won 20 of 25 and yet are still 1.5 games out of the Wild Card which shows what a hole they climbed out of….but they didn’t control their own fate for that one Saturday night.

Speaking of coffee…I hit the Donuts Chain and they got rid of the summer flavors (mmmm Heath)….so I got Pumpkin. It’s way too early for Pumpkin. Pumpkin tastes great at a soccer game on a Saturday morning in October. On August 22nd when it’s 90, it sucks.
Some people still seem to care about yesterday’s tweets printed on parchment. One of those people would have been Saint George, the kindly old man in the Bronx who just wanted to win. He would be losing his mind with this stuff.

It may or may not be Harvey Day. I am counting on my fingers – Saturday, Sunday, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday. It should be Harvey Day, but there is no information about this on the interwebs that I am able to find.
The Mets play at 7:10pm because someone realized playing weekday afternoon games is insane.
