Just found out. The security at Citifield wearing vests are to look more official and tactical as a deterrent. I guess it’s also a look so they can have an excuse to be more gruff.

A deterrent to what though? What do the Mets know? Remember, we want you safe because we want you back…we also have long lines outside the security perimeter but we do have a guy with a vest.
