Breaking character for a minute, damn Marichal was good.
26-9 in 38 starts and 325.2 innings in 1968, and here he’s on his way to 21-11 2.10 and doesn’t sniff the Cy Young. Phil Niekro would get one 1st place vote, the rest went to Seaver.
Also, coming up with shtick for 180 of these is tough lol. I have enjoyed learning more about that 1969 season as I do this. I had no idea how good Koosman was that year.
