SLACKISH REACTION: I do’t know about the Mets but I enjoyed the heck out of The Last Beach Day. I’m sure baseball was great and all but the ocean was warm, still no jellyfish, and the sun was out so hey LGM and stuff but who cares.

The bagel amateurs were out this morning. I kind of expect them next week (bro we need bagels before the Jets game.) but today surprised me. But there they were, wondering if there were new flavors, nose pressed to the glass, hand picking each bagel.

I went to watch Avengers: Endgame finally because there was no night time Mets game and discovered the movie is three hours long! So I did not watch it. Now I need to find a rainy Saturday so I can start this thing at 6pm. As you know, I fall asleep at 10.
The Mets are on Sunday Night Baseball. A-Rod, the guy from the video game and Baseball Operations Expert Jessica Mendoza have the call. Today would be a great opportunity for The Beat to ask Jessica what it is she does for the Mets. And lest I be accused of being sexist, feel encouraged to ask the same question of Al Leiter.
