These 1969 Mets win so often it’s getting boring. I mean, the Expos are a complete joke, and Seaver’s been on one hell of a roll.
What to say? This is incredible.
Seaver won his 23rd. The Mets their 91st. The Expos lost their 103rd. The Cubs lost their 67th.
It is September 18th and the Mets have a Five Game Lead and I am computing Magic Numbers. Amazing.
Of course with the Mets luck, they will lose in this stupid National League Championship Nonsense. The Giants are leading in the West…you can see what’s gonna happen right? They won’t score for Koosman, Gentry will win, Seaver will pumpkin, and they won’t score for Koosman again….season over. Oh well, if I had told you the Mets would win the division you’d never have believed me.
