SLACKISH REACTION: Matz, Thor and JDG take on the Marlins as the calendar becomes the Mets’ worst enemy. 4.5 back with 7 to play. That math doesn’t work.
There does not seem to be much Mets news, and the fanbase seems to continue to not be all that excited. Hey we got Meaningful Games all the way to the final week. There will be a hell of a mortgage to pay, but at least we got some watchable games even if I am not watching them (man it was soooo nice out yesterday!)
NOT LINKING: The newspaper, being of far better quality than say your average blog written in a basement, wants the Mets to adopt a playoffs or bust mentality next year! That’s some high quality non-boggy journalism. “Demand more. Expect more.” Wow – I hear the AAIMBR is hiring if the whole newspaper thing doesn’t work out.
