Man I love Koosman Day.
I’ve told you all summer this guy is the best pitcher on the team, and the second half has proven this. Figure around 1982 or so we’ll be taking our flying cars out to Shea to see the Mets retire 36!
In the meantime, savor how great this guy has been. Another CG shutout! His 17th win! (oh if only you idiots had scored for him in the first half.)
And yeah the Phillies suck, but if Seaver shut out the Phillies (and he probably will, they suck) you guys would be talking about him like he’s an All Time Great or something.
