SLACKISH REACTION: I decided to walk my dog instead of start the game at 7….then when in the hot tub…but did watch from like 8 until 9:45 at which point Mickey Hodges started making pitching changes for no reason and I remembered baseball is not dying, it is dead, so I went and checked out Trump stuff. Seems the Mets lost. Whatever.

Here’s a thought, and I admit I am from Last Century where pitchers did things like accumulate wins….JDG is awesome and all. He’s also 31 and has 66 wins. I saw some people talking about his HOF chances.
OK, I’ll play. Let’s give him this year’s. Lets make him 20-0 next year and a third CY. Now he has 86 wins at age 32. Let’s do that again. He’s 33 and has 106 wins and won 4 straight CYs….now he hangs around until age 37 and finishes with like 132 wins. Does that make the Hall?
Now dial back my 4 straight CYs to two. Or three outta four. And dial back the 20-0 seasons. Say it’s three CY’s and 115 career wins. Is that making the HOF?
