I told you I told you I told you. Seaver beat up on expansion teams all season. Now with the chips on the line the guy gives up 5 runs in 7 innings. How do you not start Jerry Koosman in Game 1? Does Gil even watch these games?
I mean holy crap the Mets were dead before scoring 5 in the 8th. Joe Neikro gave NINE runs (4 earned) – I mean how lucky can Gil get? My man dodged a bullet here. Fortunately we have Jerry in Game 2, and Game 5 if necessary.
