This is fun. If I were 25 years younger and still lived in Queens I’d jump on this. As for me in middle age, Backyard FC seems more appealing. That said, best of luck to QBFC, which is kinda like if Vulgar Pete Alonso teamed up with @mediagoon to run a Fan Convention.
It will host its home matches in a new, modular stadium at York College in Queens that will have a capacity of around 7,500. The new team will also play select home matches at Citi Field, home of MLB’s New York Mets.
Inspiration for the team’s colors and badge will be drawn from the Queens community. Stay tuned for announcements!
