Hey it’s me. For once there’s enough to fill out one of these. Let’s start with the Actual Baseball.
Last night the rumors on the street were that maybe perhaps possibly they were close to a deal. Part of that deal calls for Universal DH and expanded playoffs in 2020 AND 2021.
Look, I get 2020. Whatever gets it done and it’s going to have a bigger asterisk than some statistical-outlier home run totals anyway.
But why expanded playoffs in 2021? (The answer is money, the answer to all questions is always money). Do we really want 16 teams in the playoffs? Are we hockey suddenly?
Universal DH – hey I hate it but if every league in the world from your beer league to the American League uses it, it’s insane that the NL doesn’t or that half the games are played with different rules. Short term it probably helps the Mets, so fine.
The 16 team playoffs in 2021 bothers me. But weaver, I don’t care if they play of not…life has been fine without it.

The Big Zero, Marcus Stroman, took some shots at Mad Dog Russo. Although he ha see blocked, I think Stroman is a very interesting personality in the game and I am curious as to why GKR haven’t booked him on SNY Filler. Maybe he isn’t the sort of guest they seek.
