Marlins star Jose Reyes (he couldn’t wait to get there) has retired. I never was a fan.
I did enjoy the heck out of the mysterious tweeter who would suggest that Mr. Reyes was a virus of sorts.
Many Mets fans think Jose walked/singled on every AB then stole second third and home while a Meatloaf song played.
I always think of how fans came out to support him winning the batting title and he played one inning…and then headed for the Marlins before Big Ben had finished its last midnight bong.
After the Marlins you may recall Jose was with Toronto and then Colorado who ate a ton of money rather than deal with extracurriculars.
Jose then returned to the Mets for some reason .246 and then .189. He didn’t play in 2019 and for some reason wants us to know he is retired. I think we knew.
